See, I am doing a new thing!

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a NEW thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19)

These are the words God used seven years ago to call us (The Gatto Family) to the city of La Paz Mexico.  The Lord then confirmed these words as He led us to begin the development of Rancho el Camino and  the community development work in Marquez de Leon.  These words still lead the way in this New Year not only for our family but for a growing network of individuals, churches, organizations that have sensed God’s leading to engage in the ministry of the ranch.  Not only has He raised up an army around the ranch He is also raising up a team of gifted passionate men and women to develop the ranch and its ministries to reach their full redemptive potential. You can now meet each of these individuals on the staff page of the next “NEW” thing I would like to share with you.

We are excited to announce and invite each of you to the “NEW” Rancho el Camino web site.  A special thanks goes out to Fred Arters and Pete and Emily Johnson for all of their hard work in creating a beautiful site that will serve the ranch and the greater ranch family throughout Mexico, the US and beyond.  The site was developed using the latest tools from Word Press and is connected to all the latest social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and more. This will provide a great way for us to share what God is doing at the ranch with you while also providing a great way for each of you to share the ranch with your friends and family as well.

Pete and Emily Johnson and their beautiful family arrived in La Paz Mexico in mid-December to serve as full time missionaries here at the ranch.  Pete served as a youth pastor for seven years at Tab Church in Norfolk, Virginia.  Pete is a gifted leader with a passion for developing a holistic ministry.  Some of his time and focus will be directed toward the development of the camping and wilderness ministries. Pete is also passionate about the full redemptive potential of the Gospel and is enthusiastic about community development and creation care. Emily is passionate about community development, fluent in Spanish, and brings much needed administrative skills to the team.  From a more heart level the Johnson Family is a gift and answer to prayer.  We thank God for this “NEW” family.  Please hold them up in prayer as they begin their new ministry here in La Paz.

As I mentioned Pete and Emily were instrumental in the development of the new web page. Make sure to check out the latest video at the bottom of the web page or on our YouTube channel for a chance to meet Pete. Enjoy the video that he put together from the entire ranch staff and may God bless you richly in this new year.

God Bless!

Pete Gatto
